AI is quickly being adopted in the life sciences with a significant impact on how biotechnology and biopharmaceutical companies are bringing therapies to market. AI applications are being used to speed innovation, help design clinical trials, increase operational efficiencies, and more. Even the FDA is incorporating AI into its regulatory processes. However, challenges have also surfaced in terms of data quality and bias, data privacy and security, and the lack of universal industry standards. As AI technology continues to evolve, more changes for the industry can be expected.
