The Utah Talent Hub: A New Tool for Recruiting Interns was presented by Jimmy McDonough, assistant commissioner, higher education workforce programs at Utah Systems of Higher Education and Bryce Nelson, cooperative education program manager at Talent Ready Utah, at the 2025 Mayer Brown Utah Life Sciences Summit in Salt Lake City on November 12, 2025.
The Utah Talent Hub is a new platform launched by the Utah System of Higher Education to help connect students with employers for high-impact internships and apprenticeships, and jobs. Built in coordination with Utah public colleges, the Nucleus Institute and BioUtah, the platform aims to simplify workforce development by acting as a central connection point for students to find opportunities and for employers to find talent. It supports the state’s workforce by preparing students for in-demand careers and strengthening collaboration between higher education and industry.
